A unidirectional thrust tapered roller bearing consists of a shaft ring, a seat ring, and a cage assembly with tapered rollers. This type of bearing can withstand high axial forces in a single direction and cannot withstand radial forces. Due to the large number of tapered rollers running on bearing washers with tapered raceways, the rigidity of thrust tapered roller bearings is very high. This type of bearing cannot hold itself, so the bearing washer and roller cage components can be installed separately.
